|Inspiritus is launching a new program focused on youth homelessness in Atlanta. Thrive! Youth Host Homes provide supportive, short-term housing for youth ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness, with a focus on being inclusive and supportive of youth who identify as LGBTQ and youth who have aged out of foster care.
Tailored to the specific needs of youth, the Youth Host Home model has proven successful in cities around the country, and the City of Atlanta has chosen Inspiritus to pilot the first program of its kind in Georgia. Youth are matched with families and individuals who provide space in their home for youth to live safely as they work toward transitioning to permanent housing.
Join us at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 at Druid Hill Presbyterian Church for an open house and information session introducing our new Thrive! Youth Host Home Program. Come learn about how you can help by opening your home or by supporting other host homes by giving, volunteering or advocating on behalf of youth experiencing homelessness.
