Part presentation, part conversation, this 1-hour workshop will equip us for reflecting on our own mental health and self-care practices, and will provide coaching on compassionate self-appraisal and scientifically validated self-care best practices that make a difference in sustaining us. We will present information that goes beyond simple promotion of self-care, and will help us learn how to encourage ourselves and others, find safe outlets for connection, and easy to implement breathing exercises. Mr. Adam Renner, Counselor-in-Training, will lead our presentation, and Rev. Dr. Brian Hooper, Rev. Dawn Bennett, and Ms. Jeannie Ingram will offer their insights as well as lead us in a therapeutic exercise.
This is for rostered ministers, but we also invite lay ministers (whose duties include caring for others) to be a part of this free event.

A word about format for these offerings
: This is vulnerable work. In order to facilitate a safe space, the educational workshops will take questions via a private facilitator, and breakout rooms will be provided in the Zoom meetings for anyone who needs personal support. Attendance in the support groups will remain anonymous from the Synod office. In all these offerings we ask that anything shared be kept in confidence.
