Theme: Celebrating our Gifts as Ministers of Word & Service

Mark your calendars and plan to join us on September 10-12, 2018, at Camp Kinard (Batesburg-Leesville, SC) for a special retreat just for you! The event will feature keynote speaker Sister Krista Anderson (pictured left), a Deacon and the ELCA's Program Director for the Support of Rostered Ministers. Question and answer sessions will also be a part of the retreat with conversation centering around what it means to be a deacon within today's changing church community and rosters.

The Rev. Dr. Ruth Hamilton (pictured right), the Candidacy and Leadership Manager for the Joint Ministries of Region Nine, will also be present to help facilitate conversations and provide information.

Generous grants from the ELCA's Diaconal community and the South Carolina Synod have been given to make it possible for participants to attend with minimal costs. Registration fee is $25/per person and includes lodging, all meals, and program materials. You may register at:
