Undoing the Most Segregated Hour in America 3.0

Monday, October 21 2019 - 8:30 AM to Monday, October 21 2019 - 3:30 PM

Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta
Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church, Riverdale

Each generation is charged with recapturing the deeply contextual meaning and power of the gospel for its time and place.

This year the 3rd Annual Workshop will identify and explore the effects of microaggression and white supremacy as practices and beliefs that prevent the full expression of the Beloved Community in our congregations.

The Workshop will also explore ways of welcoming the stranger: empathy, naming and confronting evil and ways of expressing our love for Jesus Christ.

Who should participate
Congregation leaders, pastors, seminarians and community outreach workers. People of goodwill who seek safe and meaningful discussion around race, culture, and their effects on ministry and community

Location of the Workshop
Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church
2165 Highway 138, Riverdale, GA  30296
