A 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi on Sept. 28, leading to a devastating tsunami. So far, more than 1,200 people have died, and the death toll is expected to keep climbing as emergency workers rush to clear debris and find survivors.
Through our long-standing companion relationships in Indonesia, Lutheran Disaster Response is providing relief and will continue to support survivors on the long road to recovery. The road to recovery will be long, but - through our companion churches and partners in Indonesia - we have an opportunity to accompany survivors and let them know they are not alone. Your generous gifts to support recovery are greatly appreciated.
