Bishop Strickland Introduces Rev. Lugo, ELCA Foundation Partner

January 05, 2021

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with the ELCA Foundation, yet another way in which our synod will equip, empower, and engage God’s people to love and serve. (Ephesians 4:12).

Regional gift planner and member of our synod staff, Rev. Ana Lugo, will assist our synod in developing and stewarding individual and congregation planned gifts for our ministries and supporting our ministries through charitable gift instruments.

Rev. Ana Lugo
In 2021, we look forward to Rev. Lugo assisting us in
  • providing planned giving education and marketing materials across the Synod to help us as individuals, congregations, and rostered ministers make meaningful and faithful choices with our estates;
  • facilitating congregations and individuals with more complex giving scenarios (gifts of real estate, Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Gifts of Stock, etc.) on behalf of the Synod;
  • creating a synod mission endowment fund so that our legacy gifts will continue God’s work in the world for years to come.
We look forward to Rev. Lugo being in and amongst us, helping see and feel God’s presence in the abundance all around us, and then reflecting that abundance.
