Our highlighted ministry for the third quarter of 2019 is Resurrection Mission, Tucker, GA. In August 2018, the Reverend Mica Koli was named Pastor-Developer of the new mission. The Mission strives to be a place of transformation that leads to new life through a deeper relationship with Christ Jesus.
The congregation worships on Saturday afternoon at Living Grace Lutheran Church providing an alternative option for people who are not able or choose not to worship on Sunday mornings. The worship style is true to the ELCA tradition - celebrating Holy Communion each week and observing the Liturgical Year.  Pastor Koli has baptized two young adults by immersion and one infant in the more traditional style of sprinkling.  She has also officiated at two funerals for members of the community.
Resurrection seeks to be a comfortable and safe place for people who were raised in the church but are not currently participating in the life of a local parish. So far, the Mission has attracted both “baby-boomers” and their young adult children.

Resurrection also serves the neighboring community of Clarkson by provided winter coats, Christmas gifts of toys and food for the children of refugee families.
