One Sunday each month during the summer, Faith Lutheran has come together to work on an outreach project. All ages are welcome!
The first project was to make 25 tied fleece blankets for the health room. We prayed that the littlest of God’s children will feel some warmth and love when they are sad or hurt. The blankets will be sent home with children as appropriate.
For our second project, we painted inspirational rocks and a bench for their garden. The rocks were brought forward during our offering and laid around the baptismal font. It was really touching! The items will be installed on God’s Work, Our Hands Day in September and will hopefully brighten a child’s day.
We had such fun doing these projects and hopefully our small gifts will help the children at Clay know that God loves them. Funds were provided by Thrivent Action Grants, for which we give thanks!
