On Saturday, May 23, 2020 at a drop-off station at the St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Franklin, TN, 745 fuel bags were donated by approximately 44 families! This overwhelming response was amazing. HOW AMAZING!!! Thank you to everyone who supported this project. Every little bit helped, and will be used to provide for neighbors in need. THANK YOU!
"7Every thing in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!"
- 1 Peter 4:7-11 The Message (MSG)
Fuel Bags are very much needed and appreciated. They are collections of 8 to 12 high protein snacks and food items that pantries and schools can give to children and families who need assistance. Currently, many people need assistance.
The Faith Formation Committee at St. Andrew learned from Inspiritus about the need for fuel bags. The challenge was: how to organize the project during the pandemic and quarantine. With some creativity, determination, and an abundance of people with a heart and willingness to serve, we met this challenge. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS HEARTS!
