When Paul came to pick up the items he said, "WOW you guys did really great. I have mega churches that don't do this much!" ShowerUp serves those experiencing homelessness by providing showers, hygiene resources and personal car with mobile shower units. It’s not about making dirty people clean, its about providing hope. After listening to Paul Schimt (ShowerUp CEO) on our Crossing Barriers, Building Friendships podcast, we learned what items they really needed. And it wasn’t shampoo and soap like we thought. At last count Peace in Spring Hill will be donating 23 sleeping bags, 126 razors, 80 cans of shaving cream and 109 pairs of men’s boxer briefs.
